The Scottsburg Cross Country teams made the trip to Crawford County on Saturday to compete in the annual “Little 4” meet, facing off against Crawford County, North Harrison, and Paoli. Both the Warriors and Warriorettes turned in solid performances on a challenging course. On the boys’ side, junior Kameron Reed continued his impressive season, pacing Scottsburg with a time of 18:34, finishing first overall. Sophomore Gavin Curley followed closely behind, finishing in 20:08, helping the Warriors stay competitive against a strong Crawford County. For the Warriorettes, senior Brooklyn Moon led the way, clocking a time of 26:49. She was followed by senior Briley Bary at 27:14 and junior Addison Elliot at 27:46, as Scottsburg’s top three female runners finished within a minute of each other. Juniors Addison Eldridge (32:16) and Sofie Riley (32:18) rounded out the team’s effort with strong finishes in the closing stretch. The Warriorettes took first place team honors! Head Coach Derek Eldridge praised the team’s effort and improvement across the board. “We saw some great consistency today,” the coach said. “This group continues to compete hard every meet, and we’re seeing their times trend in the right direction as we move toward the postseason.” The Warriors and Warriorettes will look to build on their momentum as they prepare for their next meet.
