The Scottsburg Warriorette volleyball team battled through a full day of competition Saturday at the Crawford County Invitational. Scottsburg opened with a tough matchup against Southridge, falling 17-25, 23-25, before dropping their second contest to host Crawford County 13-25, 20-25. The Warriorettes regrouped in their third match, rallying from a first-set loss to defeat Rock Creek 20-25, 25-8, 15-6 behind strong serving and aggressive play at the net. In their final match of the day, Scottsburg pushed Orleans to the brink but came up just short, 16-25, 23-25. The Warriorettes will look to build on their tournament experience as they head back into Mid-Southern Conference play this week against Salem.
