Warriorettes Go 2-2 at Crawford County Invitational The Scottsburg Warriorettes volleyball team split four matches Saturday at the Crawford County Invitational, finishing the day with a 2-2 record and picking up victories over host Crawford County and Orleans. Scottsburg opened tournament play against Southridge, falling in straight sets, 25-17 and 25-11. The Warriorettes bounced back with a hard-fought victory over Crawford County. Both sets went beyond the normal 25-point finish, with Scottsburg coming through in the pressure moments to earn a 27-25, 26-24 sweep. Scottsburg then battled Rock Creek in one of its most competitive matches of the day. After dropping the opening set 25-12, the Warriorettes responded with a 27-25 victory in the second to force a deciding third set. Rock Creek prevailed in the finale, 15-11, to take the match 2-1. The Warriorettes closed out the tournament on a strong note against Orleans. Scottsburg captured a tight opening set 25-23 before finishing off the straight-set victory with a 25-19 win in the second. Crawford County Invitational Results Southridge def.
