SCOTTSBURG, Ind. — The Scottsburg High School boys golf team turned in a strong performance Tuesday evening, earning a convincing tri-meet victory over Austin and Crothersville at Westwood Golf Course. The Warriors posted a team score of 152, finishing ahead of Austin (175) and Crothersville (235) on the nine-hole layout at Westwood, Scottsburg’s local public golf course. Leading the way for Scottsburg was Jarin Luttrell, who earned medalist honors with a round of 37. Luttrell’s steady play helped pace a balanced Warrior lineup that featured four scores in the 30s. Scottsburg’s scoring lineup included: Jace Luttrell – 38 Nick Consley – 38 Paxton Copple – 40 Lucas Miller – 39 Jarin Luttrell – 37 (Medalist) The Warriors’ depth proved to be the difference as they finished 23 strokes ahead of Austin and 83 strokes clear of Crothersville. Austin was led by Cam Watts and Cameron Blevins, who each carded rounds of 40. Eli Weddle added a 41 for the Eagles.
