The Scottsburg Warriorettes are set to begin their postseason journey next week as they compete in the 2026 IHSAA Softball Sectional #30 at Corydon Central High School. The sectional tournament will take place May 26–28 and features seven area programs competing for a sectional championship. Scottsburg earned a first-round bye and will open sectional play in the semifinal round on Wednesday, May 27, at 6:00 p.m. The Warriorettes will face the winner of Tuesday night’s opening game between Silver Creek and Charlestown. The opposite side of the bracket features host Corydon Central taking on North Harrison in Tuesday’s second game, with the winner advancing to face Madison Consolidated in Wednesday’s late semifinal. The sectional championship game is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, at 7:00 p.m. Fans traveling to support the Warriorettes should note that all games will be played at the softball complex located behind Corydon Central High School at 375 Country Club Road in Corydon. Parking will be available on the south and east sides of the school campus. Tournament organizers have also released nightly event schedules for fans and teams. On Tuesday and Wednesday, pregame festivities begin at 5:25 p.m. with home team infield warmups, followed by team introductions at 5:50 p.m. and the national anthem at 5:55 p.m. before first pitch at 6:00 p.m. Thursday’s championship schedule begins at 6:25 p.m., with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Admission for the sectional tournament will be $8 per session or $20 for an all-session pass. All-session passes will be available for purchase at the entry gate and through Eventlink during the opening two nights of the tournament. Fans should also be aware that pets, banners, balloons, artificial noisemakers, and live animal mascots are prohibited during IHSAA tournament events. In the event of severe weather, spectators and teams will be directed inside Corydon Central High School through Door #13, and any postponed games would move to rain dates scheduled for May 29 or May 30.
