Warriors Compete at Whiteland Invitational

FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Scottsburg Warrior golf team competed Saturday at the Whiteland Invitational at The Legends Golf Club, facing a deep and talented field from across the state. The Warriors finished the day with a team score of 331, placing them solidly in the middle of the standings in a competitive 20-team field. Scottsburg Lineup & Scores Scottsburg was led by: Maddix Melker – 80 Paxton Copple – 81 Lucas Miller – 84 Jace Luttrell – 86 Nick Consley – 87 The Warriors’ top four scores combined for the official total of 331. Strong Individual Efforts Melker’s team-low 80 paced the Warriors Copple added an 81, giving Scottsburg a strong 1-2 punch Consistent mid-80s rounds helped keep the team competitive throughout the day Tournament Results Center Grove – 289 Franklin Blue – 313 Center Grove (2nd team) – 316 New Palestine – 316 Speedway – 316 Franklin Black – 319 Perry Meridian – 322 Batesville – 324 Connersville – 327 Scottsburg – 331 Whiteland – 337 Zionsville – 337 Trinity Lutheran – 350 Decatur Central – 360 Greenfield Central – 360 Greenwood Christian Academy – 360 Southport – 360 Lawrence North – 373 Rushville – 392 Austin – 410 Medalist Honors Individual medalist honors went to Nathan Springer of Center Grove, who fired an impressive 69 to lead all golfers on the day.
