SCOTTSBURG — On a crisp April afternoon, the Scottsburg Warriors golf team delivered an impressive performance on their home course, sweeping a tri-meet against Jeffersonville and Trinity Lutheran at Westwood Golf Course. The match, held at the scenic 9-hole layout just west of Scottsburg , showcased the depth and consistency of the Warriors lineup as they secured a convincing victory. Scottsburg posted a team score of 156, comfortably ahead of Jeffersonville (221) and Trinity Lutheran (173), highlighting a balanced effort across their top five golfers. Leading the way for the Warriors was Jace Luttrell, who earned medalist honors with an outstanding round of 36. Luttrell’s steady play set the tone early and gave Scottsburg a strong foundation. Close behind was Paxton Copple, who carded a 38, delivering a reliable round that helped maintain the Warriors’ lead. Nick Conley added a solid 41, while Maddix Melker also contributed a 41, reinforcing the team’s depth. Rounding out the scoring was Jarin Luttrell, who posted a 46. While slightly higher, his score still played a key role in completing the team total and securing the win. What stood out most for Scottsburg was consistency. All five scoring golfers finished in the 30s or low 40s, a level of balance that proved too much for both Jeffersonville and Trinity Lutheran to overcome. In contrast, both opposing teams struggled to match that depth, with higher individual scores pushing their team totals well behind. The victory continues a strong stretch for the Warriors on their home course, where familiarity and disciplined play have become clear advantages. Competing at Westwood — a course known for offering a fair but challenging test to golfers of all levels — Scottsburg demonstrated both course management and composure. With a dominant win and a medalist performance from Luttrell, the Warriors set a confident tone moving forward in their season.
