Warriorettes Earn Top-10 Finish at Corydon Central Stargazer

The Scottsburg Warriorettes Track & Field team turned in a competitive performance Friday night at the Corydon Central Stargazer Invitational, finishing 10th overall with 23.5 points in a strong 18-team field. Scottsburg was led by a strong showing in the hurdles, where the Warriorettes picked up key points. Taylor Busick paced the team with a third-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (17.17), while Kylee Miles added a sixth-place finish in the same event (18.25) . Miles also contributed in the 300-meter hurdles, placing seventh (54.66), just ahead of teammate Sofie Riley, who finished eighth (54.67) to give Scottsburg a double scoring effort in the event . In the field events, the Warriorettes saw success in the pole vault, where Anissah Payne-Eldridge cleared 8-0 to finish third overall. Teammate Addison Eldridge added to the total with a fifth-place finish (7-6), giving Scottsburg another strong multi-scorer event . The relay teams also contributed valuable points, highlighted by a seventh-place finish in the 4x100 relay (56.24), while the 4x400 relay team gained experience against a competitive field. Additional contributions came across the lineup, including Arya Stillions in the high jump and distance events, as well as efforts in the sprints and throws that helped round out the team score. Competing against several of the region’s top programs, including team champion Edgewood and runner-up Corydon Central, the Warriorettes showed continued growth and depth across multiple events. With strong performances in the hurdles and field events, Scottsburg continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
