The Warriors walked into Jennings County High School Tuesday night ready for a battle—but left knowing they had been tested by a tough opponent. Jennings County controlled the early momentum, taking the first set 25–12 and putting the Warriors on their heels. Despite the lopsided opener, the Warriors refused to fold. They regrouped, tightened their defense, and came out with far more energy in the second set. Behind a strong effort at the net, Josh Thomas and Garrett Boling made their presence felt, combining for nine blocks that disrupted Jennings County’s rhythm. Aiden Cornelius led the offensive push, finishing the night with 11 kills, giving the Warriors key points when they needed them most. The second and third sets were much more competitive, with the Warriors battling point-for-point. RJ Lagmay anchored the back row with 19 digs, keeping rallies alive and giving his team chances to respond. But each time the Warriors threatened to take control, Jennings County answered. Both sets slipped away by identical 25–21 scores, sealing a straight-set loss for the Warriors. While the scoreboard showed a 0–3 result, the fight in the final two sets told a different story—one of resilience, adjustments, and flashes of what this team is capable of. The Warriors will look to build on that effort as they move forward, turning a tough road loss into motivation for the matches ahead.
