Warriors Fall to Silver Creek, 88-54, at Meyer Gym

The Scottsburg Warriors faced a tough challenge Friday night at Meyer Gym, falling to Silver Creek 88-54 in Mid-Southern Conference action. Silver Creek shot an impressive 63.6 percent from the field (35-55) and placed four players in double figures, while the Warriors connected on 41.3 percent of their shots (19-46) and hit 10 three-pointers on the night. The Dragons also controlled the paint (50 points) and forced 15 Scottsburg turnovers, turning those miscues into 16 points. Scottsburg showed fight early, but Silver Creek used scoring runs in each quarter to gradually build separation and secure the conference win. Game Summary Silver Creek jumped out to a strong first-quarter performance, taking a 27-17 lead after one. The Dragons extended their advantage in the second quarter, outscoring the Warriors 16-7 to carry a 43-24 lead into halftime. In the third, Silver Creek continued to push the tempo and added 29 points in the frame to stretch the margin to 72-43 heading into the fourth quarter. The Dragons closed out the game with a 16-11 advantage in the final period to secure the 88-54 victory.
