The Scottsburg Warriorette Basketball team saw its season come to an end Tuesday night with a 65–23 loss to Silver Creek in the opening round of the IHSAA Girls Basketball Sectional at Charlestown. Silver Creek jumped out early and maintained control throughout the contest, using defensive pressure and transition scoring to build a lead after the first quarter and extend it into halftime. Scottsburg continued to battle on the defensive end but was unable to overcome the Dragons’ depth and efficiency. Despite the final score, the Warriorettes continued to compete until the final buzzer, gaining valuable postseason experience against a strong Silver Creek squad.
