Warriors Fall at Seymour, 54–45

The Scottsburg Warriors were unable to overcome a strong defensive effort from Seymour on Saturday afternoon, falling 54–45 in a road on January 24. Scottsburg battled throughout the contest and stayed within striking distance all four quarters. The Warriors trailed 16–9 after the opening period but responded with improved offensive execution in the second quarter, cutting into the deficit before heading into halftime down 27–22. Seymour used a balanced scoring attack to maintain control in the third quarter, outscoring Scottsburg 12–8 to push the lead to nine. The Warriors continued to compete in the final period, matching Seymour with 15 points in the fourth, but were unable to close the gap late. Aiden Cornelius led Scottsburg with 14 points, while Jarin Luttrell added nine and Jaxon Owens chipped in six. Seymour was paced by Lakoda Leavy with 20 points and Nate Fritsch with 15.
