Warriorettes Fall to Madison Lady Cubs at Cheatham Classic

The Scottsburg Warriorettes battled hard Tuesday afternoon in the Cheatham Classic at Charles E. Meyer Gymnasium but came up short against the visiting Madison Lady Cubs, 66-34. From the opening tip, Madison was able to find scoring rhythm, jumping out to a 19-6 first quarter advantage. Scottsburg fought back with effort in the second period, but the Lady Cubs maintained control through all four quarters to secure the win in front of a lively holiday tournament crowd. Final Score: Madison Lady Cubs — 66 Scottsburg Warriorettes — 34 Scoring Summary by Quarter 1st: Scottsburg 6, Madison 19 2nd: Scottsburg 12, Madison 19 Halftime: 18-38 3rd: Scottsburg 9, Madison 13 4th: Scottsburg 7, Madison 15 While the team struggled to find consistent offense throughout the afternoon, several Warriorettes made impactful contributions: KK Grogan led all scorers for Scottsburg with 11 points, converting key buckets and showing strong hustle. Anissah Eldridge and Addison Eldridge each scored 9 points, working hard inside and helping battle for rebounds. Sofie Riley added 3 points and played tough defense. The Lady Cubs shot 37.1% from the field and hit 10 three-pointers on the afternoon, using their size and ball movement to create scoring opportunities.
