Scottsburg Wrestling Falls at Jennings County

Scottsburg wrestling faced a tough challenge on the road Tuesday night, falling to a strong Jennings County squad by a final score of 70–0 in a dual meet that began at 165 pounds. Jennings County jumped out to an early lead with a pair of forfeits at 165 and 175 pounds before extending their advantage at 190, where Sam Hernandez earned a technical fall over Elijah Helton. The Panthers continued to build momentum through the upper weights, picking up falls at 215 and 285 to push the score to 29–0 heading into the lighter classes. After a double forfeit at 106, Scottsburg looked to gain traction, but Jennings County maintained control. Carter Mikels secured a fall at 113, followed by quick pins at 120 and 132. Jennings County added additional points through forfeits and falls in the middle weights, including a pin at 144 and a forfeit at 150. At 157 pounds, Jax Nelson closed the night with a technical fall over Luke Hamilton, sealing the final score. Despite the result, Scottsburg wrestlers continued to compete with effort against a deep and experienced Jennings County lineup. The Warriors will look to build from the match as they return to the mat, focusing on growth and improvement as the season progresses.
