The Scottsburg Warriorettes showed resilience and fight on Friday night as they hosted the Bishop Chatard Trojans in Charles E. Meyer Gymnasium. Despite the final 65–29 setback, the Warriorettes continued to display effort and teamwork throughout all four quarters against a talented and well-balanced Trojans squad. Senior Addison Eldridge led the way offensively for Scottsburg, turning in a strong all-around performance with 15 points, including 4-of-9 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. Eldridge also contributed on the glass with three rebounds and added two assists. KK Grogan provided steady play at both ends, tallying 8 points, four rebounds, and a steal, while showing her ability to create in the paint. Addison Elliott added 5 points, grabbed three rebounds, and played physical defense in the post. Defensively, Rylee Age and Georgia McNeely each provided hustle minutes off the bench, combining for rebounds and deflections that helped energize the Warriorettes. Brooklyn Moon, Sara Gago, and Arya Stillions also contributed valuable minutes, helping the team continue to compete and gain experience early in the season. The Warriorettes struggled to find offensive rhythm, shooting just 23.8% from the field compared to the Trojans’ 46.4%. Bishop Chatard dominated inside, outscoring Scottsburg 42–8 in the paint and holding a 57.9% two-point shooting clip. Transition and hustle plays also heavily favored the Trojans, who tallied 27 fast-break points and 24 points off turnovers. While Scottsburg held a slight edge at the free-throw line (60% to 52.9%), Bishop Chatard’s rebounding advantage (41–24 total) and defensive pressure (16 steals and 10 blocks) proved decisive in controlling the game from start to finish. While the Trojans’ hot shooting proved difficult to slow down, the Warriorettes continued to show flashes of what makes this young group promising — grit, teamwork, and improvement with every game. The Warriorettes will be back in action Friday, November 14th, when they host Bedford North Lawrence at 6:00 PM in Charles E. Meyer Gymnasium.
